How Sultzaberger Photography came to be...

When I was just a toddler, my mom gave me a toy camera so I would stop touching her camera. Being frustrated that it did not take real pictures, I tried to use my mom's camera when she was not looking. She bought me disposable 35 mm cameras, but they were just point and shoot and did not stop me from still using her camera. In 2nd grade, she gave me her point and shoot camera that also had manual options. I was so intrigued with learning how this worked that photography became an obsession. My mom realized this was not just a passing phase and gave me my very own DSLR with two lenses when I was in middle school. In high school, my electives were in photography, graphic design, and television/video production. Those classes were truly enjoyable! I hope what I learned is portrayed in my photos. My favorite subjects are landscapes/nature and cars. Creating different perspectives, rather than photos that look like all others, is part of my passion.

My mom enjoys nature and portrait photography. I enjoy working with her, especially on location. We have backdrops and lighting that can be taken to your home, if you would prefer traditional portraits. Taking these in your home usually alleviates stress associated with going somewhere for photos. You have changes of clothes readily accessible, especially if you change your mind as to what you want to wear. You can easily grab a prop that you may have otherwise forgotten, as well.

We are also joined by my sister who has a passion for taking outdoor senior photos. The three of us would love to assist you with your photography needs. Let us know how we can help you.

While working at my first job, which was as a photographer, I realized I truly enjoyed making money at something I considered my hobby. Rather than making money for someone else, I wanted to keep the money I was making for myself. After a conversation with my mom, I resigned from my job and with my mom, filed all the paperwork needed and finally owned my own business. I was just 15 years old. Since I was a minor, my mom and sister became my partners. We truly are a family owned and run business. Each of us has a niche we truly enjoy, but assist each other as needed.

I look forward to sharing my passion with you!

Sincerely,

Dominick Sultzaberger
